Today I have a slew of websites for you to check out (and some of those have a slew of websites to checkout).
At http://mashable.com/2007/07/06/online-music/ there are 90 Essential Music and Audio sites (from mashable.com )
http://www.artistshousemusic.org Artists House Music is a website for Indie Musicians with articles on about every part of the Music Business.
The Cyber Tip Jar
www.scratchback.com is a paypal tip jar that allows you to give back to your supporters. While sites like www.chipin.com allow you to set up an earning goal (maybe for studio time, etc) Scratch back is a way to receive a tip from supporters and give them some love (in the form of them appearing on your top list) and hopefully provide them with some exposure.
You are in complete control of how much it takes to appear on the list, as well as who appears on the list (as you can reject your competition from appearing on your list). This isn’t designed to be a way to earn a living, but more a way to obtain tips and say “Thanks” to those that support you.
The creator Jim Kukral is an internetentrepreneour who is no stranger to making money on the Internet. If there is a catch its that you get 90% of the fees, but the list can inspire people being competative to bump each other off the list as you earn $$. I apologize to Jim and apprecaite him being available to “redo” the interview (as Skype hosed the audio completely). I’ve taken the information and summarized it for the listners (and readers like you). I may be implementing a “Scratch Back” option on the Musicians Cooler website at www.musicianscooler.com
The only downside (if any) is that if you are using a blog and your side bar is less than 200 pixles wide, it will probably throw off your layout. Jim is working on “slimmer” versions of Scratch Back for the Future.
