4 Resources for Musicians

Paul from www.mesasand.com he got it from www.isound.com the artcile states:
Sunrise Promotions
http://www.sunrise-promotions.com/

Sunrise Promotions is a great inexpensive newsletter service that allows you to connect with your fans on a monthly basis. They offer newsletters with no cap on subscribers for only $5 a month. The newsletter service does require you to be a little knowledgeable with html but at $5 a month you can afford to learn some simple html. For those that would rather pay more, Sunrise also offers a full service newsletter where they create your monthly newsletter for $30 a month. Other services offered by Sunrise include street teams and website development.

Feedburner
http://www.feedburner.com/
Make it easy for your fans to subscribe to your band blog with Feedburner. Feedburner manages your rss feed, allows you to keep track of the number of subscribers, usage and traffic. The best part are the widgets for your website and blog that make it easy for your fans to subscriber via email or rss reader and make it easy for the content to be shared with each other. For those that subscribe via email, Feedburner sends all your daily blog updates every day at noon to all your subscribers.

Whrrl
http://www.whrrl.com/
Whrrl is a new Social Networking SMS Service. Think Myspace and Yelp all in one. Whrrl allows you to connect with your fans regionally by city. Share with your friends great restaurants you find while touring, or notify your fans when you arrive in their city for a concert date, or let your fans know that you would like to meet them at a pizza joint before the show. Great for promoting concerts and reminding fans of events.

Twitter
http://twitter.com/
Twitter is similar to Whrrl and is used for micro blogging, it allows you to update your fans on a minute by minute basis. Fans can subscribe to your Twitter updates via SMS, Email, Instant Messager or just read them on your Twitter profile. Let your fans know about your current playlist, what you just ate, how your band practice went, or keep them updated on the recording process. A Twitter widget also allows you to place your updates on Myspace, Facebook, or your band’s website.
