Ron Finklestein is a Business and Success Coach. He has mentored business, spoken and many conferences, traveled the country teaching, and has written books such as The Platinum Rule for Small Business Mastery, Celebrating Success!: Fourteen Ways to a Successful Company, and 49 Marketing Secrets (THAT WORK) to Grow Sales. Today we talk with him live at Borders in Fairlawn Ohio.
9 Attitudes and Behaviours of a Successful Person
1. Selfishness - A positive life affirming approach. It’s a loving thing to say no if you know you’re not going to do something. You are not wasting someone’s time.
2. Ownership - Take responsibility of where you are. While you can’t choose what happens to you, you can create how you react to it.
3. Focus on Results - Successful people measure everything. By measuring you know what works.
4. People - How well lead, motivate, manage, influence, and work with others to purchase our products.
5. Focus - Ask these Two Questions: Is what you’re doing getting you closer to your goal, and it its no ask, "Why am I doing this?"
6. Persistence - Any behavior is going to be harder before it gets easier. Those that are persistent will get better. The greatest success is just before the biggest failure. Success that is handed to us isn’t appreciated and doesn’t stay.
7. Discipline - When you measure your results and get the desired result, it’s about turning this into a habit. It’s about creating measurable, repeatable, and predictable outcomes.
8. Ideas - Creative people may have two many ideas. This can leads into too many items. The idea is to go deeper into the ideas you have instead of being shallow in a lot of ideas/projects.
9. Action - Success means to take action. People associate money, cars, with success. Those are the outcomes of being successful. You can only be successful by taking action.
