Hey,
Unfortunately, most of us musicians will “wide-up” after is already too late. Interesting that I listened to this episode today, as I visited an audiologist this morning and had my hearing checked. After many years of gigging, recording, concert-going, etc. I have permanent tinnitus in both and some hi-freq loss in my left ear.
I’m looking into getting a pair of musicians earplugs (and you should too, if you gig regularly at moderate to loud volumes). I’m told the musician earplugs are best because they attenuate the volume equally across the entire frequency spectrum. Do a search on Google and you can find out more about them.
Rock On! (safely)
