Van Halen with Roth the Tour is a Go!

Van Halen is going to tour this Summer with David Lee Roth accoring to reuters 

There are certain albums I love so much that I do NOT listen to them. I don’t want to waste the spin. I wait till I’m having a not-so-great day. When I’m having a really bad day, I go for the big guns and I pull out Van Halen I and Van Halen II.

When Roth left the band I felt like my parents were getting divorced. I quoted Roth in high school like it was scripture. My favorite being “Don’t let it get to your head man, cause life’s a bitch anyways ain’t it?” and then laugh. I think that was the interview where you could hear the cubes in his drink clinking in the background.

I need to prepare msyelf though. I saw the “true” Van Halen on the Diver Down tour, and well, they aint 26 anymore. I saw Van Halen with Gary Cherone, and this will be as strange as Michael Anthony has been replaced by Eddie’s son “Wolfgang.” So it’s not really Van Halen (and proves that Eddie has no sense of humor). Eddie is on the cover of Guitar World looking OLD. I saw David Lee about three albums ago (post Billy Sheehan and Vai) and the ticket were buy one get one free and he wasdoing shtick in his act (right after his failure in Vegas). I hope they can return to their old form.

I wonder if they’re going to call it the “We’re out of money tour 07″.
