In today’s show I talk about the Power of Music. I watched the WHo play the concert for New York (right after 9/11). The way they made people, no, an etire city in mourning forget about their troubles for a few minutes was powerful. Likewise in my church last week, a person sang a solo and a few people were moved to tears. Music can move people, never forget the power of music.

I was listening to a podcast where an online card company made customized cards of bloggers they wanted to talk about their product. When the bloggers saw the effort hat was put into impressing them, they blogged about the product and them some.
One idea I talk about in my book “Get Your Band Out of the Basement (and keep them out of the asylum)” is when making a demo CD record a personalized greeeting for the club owner. Likewise write down the name of the satff at the club and keep it in a book. Then when you go back to the club, you can look like you “remember” their name.
