MySpace - I TOLD YOU SO!
This show originates at www.musicianscooler.com This is show 222. Today was inspired by an article from hypebot.com that noted how a band called Mobile had their MySpace URL yanked after owning for two years. I guess they could complain and MySpace could return their money. Oh that's right, MySpace is Free. The band doesn't own their website. So stupid. I feel bad, but this band as asking for it by not promoting their own website and instead promoting their myspace page as their primary website.
I talk about MP3.com a site that served insane amounts of music to the world, and put money in the pockets of musicians - until it was sold and for all purposes turned off. It can happen. My solution is to get (AT LEAST) a domain name at www.godaddy.com and use the coupon code " cooler3 " to get your domain name for $7.49. Then if the free site you are using as your website screws you over you can redirect your website to point at another website. If you are looking for web hosting check out www.coolerwebsites.com where you can get hosting for 2 bucks a month.
We also get a quick Tales From The Road from Dan Evans that includes naked people and playing to people's backs. For more information about Dan go to www.danevansmusic.com
